So David, we've done some other videos on what you do. One thing I'd like to ask you is how the two different states, California and Texas, differ in how employee rights are protected. Well, in some ways, they're similar but in other ways, Charles, they are night and day different. Okay, well how do they similar? They're similar in that the same federal laws apply in both states. For example, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. However, they're different in that Texas really has a very limited body of law that protects employees. California has far more laws that protect employees in the workplace. Alright, so in Texas, employees are employees at will as a default provision, correct? That's right. Okay, how about California? They're also employees at will, but in Texas, it's very difficult for an employee to say that the employer has changed that relationship. Whereas in California, the employer can make mistakes where it changes and is no longer considered a true at-will employment relationship, and that's dangerous for employers. Okay, well, let's focus on Texas first. So, the default provision in Texas, in both states, is employee at-will. Texas can change that status by doing what? Usually, it's going to take a contract. It's going to take some kind of writing where the employer and the employee agree that in your case, Charles, you're going to work for me for X amount of time, a year, two years, and here's how much you're going to get paid, and here are your benefits, and here are the reasons I can fire you.
